Description:

The Human Resources Director, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS, under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, is responsible for the implementation of company-wide compensation policy and programs and best practices that promote the strategic business goals and deliverables of the organization.  The Human Resources Director, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS will be directly responsible for a team of HR professionals to further the growing needs of the organization in the areas of compensation, benefits, overall total rewards and HR information systems. The Human Resources Director, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS will also oversee Workers’ Compensation and Ergonomics programs and policies across the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as liaison to Management and the Executive Team and advises on compensation policy and total rewards
  • Develop, and implementation of formal programs to include: forecasting, reporting, market adjustments, variable pay programs and merit analysis and recommendations. 
  • Consults with external market compensation providers in analyzing, developing and administering executive leadership total compensation pay plans. 
  • Collaborates with HR team members and Managers on new job comps, and comp analysis.
  • Oversee the operation of the HRIS system.
  • Facilitate increased optimization of ADP HRIS modules, recommendation of new modules and component systems (LMS, etc.) for maximized efficiency.
  • Lead RFP and implementation phases of new HR information system products, including Credentialing Software, Employee Engagement Software and HR Electronic Record software.
  • Leads the successful continuous maintenance of reporting scheduling for the HR Department to include regulatory reporting (EEO-1, Gender Disparity, OSHA Log 300, etc.).
  • Facilitate wage & hour, overtime and meal break analysis and collaborate with team members on appropriate follow up.
  • Develop and implement retention –based attractive and externally competitive total reward programs to include:  incentive and bonus plans, health plans and H.S.A plans, 403b retirement, deferred comp retirement plans and 457b retirement plans.
  • Oversee the Workers’ Compensation program and review and maintain reporting and recommendations for reduced modification factors for severity and frequency.
  • Recommend, redesign, and implement automation and efficiency of processes and forms to better support the HR Department and the organization.
  • Directs the research, development and administration of system-wide compensation audits to ensure that all pay policies and practices are in compliance with state and federal laws. Lead cross-collaborative taskforces and committees to successful completion.
  • Facilitate the update of the Employee Handbook, guides, policies, and procedures at least annually, and as needed in applicable areas.
  • As applicable, act as administrator for relevant HR policies in Policy Tech, to include editing, modifying, and archiving documents so that only relevant documents are active in the system.
  • Travel as needed for conferences/meetings to maintain professional and technical knowledge.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, Industrial Relations or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in HRIS and compensation program development, design and administration.
  • Proficiency in HR practices and CA Employment Law.
  • Experience supporting and administering of compensation models.
  • Expertise in compensation methodologies, systems and pay practices.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with base and variable pay programs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, federal and state laws with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Ability to identify, utilize and interpret workforce-related metrics.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills using Excel.
  • Proficient in the use of a major HRIS solution.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
