A large publicly traded company and one of Los Angeles' premier employers is looking to hire a strong Accounting Associate that is available to start on a 12 month contract to assist with Accounts Payable in SAP.
Accounting Associate III
Performs routine and moderately complex clerical functions within the Accounts Payable department. These duties may include but are not limited to reviewing incoming invoices, posting of invoices, looking up status of invoices and doing related research. Analyzing routine to moderately complex data/processes. Troubleshooting problems; Prepare documents and spreadsheets. Coordinate/administer activities and processes. Answer telephone, process mail, and have contact with internal and external clients.
Must have knowledge of business and routine accounting practices obtained via job experience in the fields of Accounts Payable and Accounting. Requires clerical accounting and financial experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is highly desirable. Experience with SAP and Sarbanes-Oxley a plus. Experience with coding of PO and Non-PO Invoices. Experience working in an automated A/P environment highly desirable.
