The position will provide support on behalf of the Manufacturing Technologies Department in performing a variety of electronic and mechanical tasks in developing, troubleshooting and testing new techniques, tools, methods and products.
Performs to individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)/goals established during performance reviews and/or goal setting meetings.
Performs technician support in the Manufacturing Technologies department for applied research, development and design of new and existing products.
Works on assignments requiring independent action and a degree of initiative to resolve issues.
Assembles prototype electro-mechanical devices. Perform assembly and disassembly functions on various types of hardware (e.g. motors, customer systems, etc.).
Prepares and maintains test setups. Independently performs testing of new techniques, methods and conducts experiments.
Creates and maintains records of test methods, setups (so they can be recreated), data, and observations. Presents the data appropriately to the designer and/or engineer.
Assembles, debugs, and maintains assembly fixtures, run-in racks and measurement fixtures.
Associates Degree in a related field and a minimum of five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to Read, Interpret and Understand Engineering Drawings and Schematics.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Minitab programs.
IPC Soldering Certification.
Ability to Read and Understand Blue Prints.
Knowledge of Basic Shop Math.
Well-developed observation skills.
Good knowledge of motors and/or rotary machines.
