Description:

A diversified, community-based financial services company with trillions in assets is seeking a Securities Operations Service Specialist 4 in San Leandro.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile, match and investigate trades related to Foreign Exchange transactions.
  • Research and assist in finding solutions to all types of issues including, but not limited to trade capture, new, amended and settlement of trades.
  • Partner with teams outside area of responsibility to coordinate trade support requirements and resolution of issues.
  • Assignments may also include gathering and collating data as well as producing management reports.
  • Provides back-up for all department functions and must possess the ability to coach, train and provide feedback to new and existing staff.
  • Must be able to understand risks associated with foreign exchange vanilla and derivatives products, exercise good judgment and work within guidelines ensuring any associated risk is mitigated.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact professionally with customers, business partners, peers and upper management.
  • Organized, team player with ability to learn quickly and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Previous customer service experience with resolution of complex customer service issues.
  • Must have a strong desire to work in a team-based environment while working independently to achieve objectives.
  • Problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Foreign Exchange related experience, preferably in an operations area.
  • MS Office Applications with advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, good time management and organizations skills as well as the ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Customer service experience, detail oriented, willing to learn, organized.
