A dynamic mortgage company seeks a Funder in Newport Beach, CA. Under general supervision verifies that all loan documents are notarized, correct fees are charged and income of borrower is accurate. Addresses errors and inconsistencies with data before delivery to appropriate bank.
Funds an average of 10 loans per day – volume permitting.
Review legal loan documents and conditions
Verify all data for accuracy, legality and legibility.
Process broker holds for post-closing conditions.
Field status calls and questions from brokerages and escrow companies.
Ensure confidentiality of client records.
Back up duties for set-up, doc drawing and customer service.
Other duties and/or mortgage related tasks as assigned by management.
The employee shall work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisor.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 2 years’ current mortgage funding experience.
Knowledge of basic mortgage concepts, practices and procedures plus at least 2 years’ experience in the mortgage industry.
Basic computer skills required: word processing, database and email systems.
3+ years’ current mortgage funding experience
Strong knowledge of mortgage concepts, practices and procedures plus 3+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry.
Intermediate to Advanced computer skills required: word processing, database and email systems.
