The Gas Engineering organization is looking for talented individuals in the area of instructional design, training development, and technical writing to develop and implement an engineering training program for new engineers in the company.
Under general supervision from the Engineering Design Team Lead, the technical writer will perform duties related to instructional design of training material for an engineering training program. General responsibilities are listed below:
Reviewing and validating documentation for accuracy and validity to be used in the development of training material.
Developing, documenting, and maintaining training content for the engineering training program based on the objectives for each module.
Converting existing documents to standard templates.
Developing standard document filing structure.
Identifying, validating and documenting classifications.
Developing and maintaining training matrix and SharePoint sites.
At least 3 years of experience in Technical Writing, Curriculum Development, or Instructional Design
Basic to Intermediate Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio
Familiar with Learning Module Systems and Instructional Design
Excellent grammar and written communication skills
Advanced Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio
Basic experience using MS SharePoint
