Description:

One of our client’s corporate office in Carlsbad seeks a Bilingual Farm Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Provides official communication and coordination between the three sites and Grupo Chia (management company for the 34 South American farms); responsible for keeping all parties informed on production, product availability, product quality and bouquet recipes
  • Codifies all the bouquet recipes; translates from English to Spanish all of the recipes and standards required for each of the products ordered from the farms
  • Solves any problems between the facilities and keeps everyone informed of problem status and resolution
  • Works collaboratively with counterpart in Miami at Queens
  • For the company Central farm-made bouquet program, instructs the farms what to make and monitors all pricing, pre-books, product tracking and invoicing
  • Manages all standing orders and pre-books for wholesale
  • Primary conduit between the farms and all departments in the three sites (quality, logistics, shipping)
  • Point of contract for anyone in Grupo Chia who needs to communicate with the company including account management, marketing, and IT.
  • Answers all question regarding the farms; the “point person” for farm relations. Maintain good internal customer satisfaction by being timely with information and precise with details.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels, across different departments/facilities, and from different cultures.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize the urgent from the important on a constant basis
  • Proactive problem anticipation skills and problem resolution skills
  • Great attention to detail

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year experience in an information liaison/product expediter position between multiple branches of a company
  • Advanced communications skills in both English and Spanish and in verbal and written formats
  • Quickly and accurately translate information from English to Spanish and Spanish to English, including technical information such as bouquet recipes
  • Knowledge of sales and inventory software applications
  • Intermediate Word, Advanced Excel (pivot tables and macros), Basic PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to commence work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30pm (daily phone interaction with Colombia, South America and Miami, Florida)
  •  Rotating every other month to work Tuesday to Saturday
  • Ability to work Saturday and Sunday prior to major floral holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a perishable goods industry
  • Understanding of the supply chain process of flower distribution and sales
