A Dynamic Credit Union is seeking a Post-Closing Specialist in Anaheim, CA!
This position is responsible for all the post-closing functions, including auditing the funded loan file to ensure all lender/investor requirements have been met/satisfied; managing multiple trailing reports to ensure trailing documents are reviewed by deadlines; interacting with 3rd party vendors to ensure balance and accuracy to loan file; request corrections from closing agents and title companies as required; imaging closed loan files; delivering investor requirements and ensuring the collateral documents are delivered to the collateral custodian. Ability to handle multiple post-closing functions in a high-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
File Review of 1st Mortgage Loans
Validate and audit final closing package documents according to federal, state, lender, and investor guidelines.
Ability to detect corrections needed. Attention to details highly.
Analyze defects identified in the final closing package, determine if there are any related or additional issues, and remediate according to documented procedures, utilizing internal and external resources.
Working knowledge of preparation, balancing, and meeting all TRID regulatory.
Preparing Final Disclosure to member within
Audits and prepares the collateral documents for shipment to collateral custodian within the allotted time frames.
Responsible for packaging & delivering funded loans to investors and uploading a copy to imaging.
Verifies that all investor stipulations requested are valid and met to ensure loans are saleable & purchased.
Maintain trailing & shipping records and follow-up on missing/trailing documents with appropriate entity.
Satisfy all internal and external audit requests within the allotted time frames.
Responsible for the payments of FHA MIP’s, VA Funding Fees and Upfront PMI Payments, and insuring loans for FHA/VA.
Responsible for auditing, preparing, tracking and obtaining the final closing disclosure, final closing statement, recorded deeds of trust, assignments, and final title policies on all funded loans.

File maintenance of large volume of data

High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent
At least 2 years’ experience in post-closing and document follow up
Working knowledge of residential mortgage lending, including comprehensive working knowledge of closing documents and loan analysis of document integrity, funding and escrow practices, shipping and insuring and secondary mortgage markets
Knowledge of general mortgage lending and mortgage banking industries
Knowledge and experience with all aspects of loan sales, delivery and insuring operations and the compliance regulations governing same
Heavily RESPA, TILA, and TRID knowledge base
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with Mortgage Cadence and FICS loan servicing system
Experience with loan shipping sites (FHA Connection, VA, FNMA, FHLB, etc.)
3+ years’ experience in post-closing and document follow up
Notary Public in and for the State of California
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Experience utilizing multiple software
