Description:

A Dynamic Credit Union is seeking a Loan Processing Manager in Anaheim, CA! This position is responsible for the management of the loan processing team of the Real Estate Department. The position reports to the Vice President of Real Estate Lending and is a member of the company’s Management Team. It is a leadership position which manages staff members at the Anaheim Operation’s location. The Loan Processing Manager will also assist the Vice President of Real Estate lending with the development and execution of corporate plans, strategies, policies and procedures. Directly reporting to this position will be the loan processing supervisor(s) and indirect reports will be the loan processing team.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages the loan processing function of the Real Estate Lending Department.
  • Achieves established goals for performance, including member service ratings, turnaround time, and loan file completeness, while ensuring that all loans are processed in accordance with compliance and credit union requirements.
  • Promotes high levels of teamwork and collaboration among all real estate lending operations teams.
  • Supervises, motivates, educates, coaches and evaluates the performance of the positions reporting to the incumbent.
  • Reviews and recommends changes to loan processing file flow, work standards and process improvements.
  • Manages the processing of real estate secured loans to employees, members of the Board of Directors and other volunteers.
  • Monitors and analyzes trends/changes in real estate lending and recommends changes to products and policies.
  • Ensures that loan sale delivery commitment dates arranged with secondary market investors are met.
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to real estate lending.
  • Develops and or recommends new operational strategies, methods of service delivery and software enhancements as necessary to improve service delivery.
  • Utilizing established metrics, monitors Department’s performance levels relative to productivity and efficiency goals including member and internal customer service quality, volume criteria, turnaround times, etc. Assists the Vice President in developing and implementing process and performance improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of loan processing experience.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a real estate lending management capacity.
  • Experience should include recent assignments allowing for familiarity with current rules and regulations applicable in the mortgage process.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Requires broad knowledge of real estate lending.
  • Knowledge and experience with all aspects of the residential real estate loan process, including underwriting, documentation, escrow closing and funding.
  • First trust mortgage loans (fixed-rate and adjustable), home equity loans and home equity lines of credit, secondary market sales (conforming and jumbo), credit scoring, automated underwriting systems, private mortgage insurance.
  • Strong familiarity with current rules and regulations set forth by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) as well other applicable regulations such as Reg. Z and RESPA.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union operations and ability to integrate and communicate critical information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of loan processing experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a real estate lending management capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of real estate lending.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certified Notary
