Our client, home to a vast portfolio of brands that define the home entertainment experience in Vista, CA seeks a Sales Support Specialists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create great customer experiences.
Provide excellent customer support throughout sales lifecycle.
Utilize operating system and internal dealer portals to ensure information related to customer(s) is accurate for internal reporting purposes and customer communication. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of Operating System and Pricing and takes on added responsibility in price management and/or customer set up.
Undertakes all necessary measures for orders to be processed, released and allocated/shipped in a timely fashion to meet order fulfillment goals of the company and the customer. Exercises judgment to determine allocation of constrained products, prioritization of picking and staging and modes of transportation that are in the best interest of the company and to meet customer specific RDD requirements.
Liaises between Sales, Finance, Shipping, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to achieve in fulfilling orders complete and on time.
Uses authority to resolve Customer problems with product shortages, delivery dates, return authorizations, shipping discrepancies, credits, within policy
Responsible for portfolio oversight, interacts with the customer and sales team and uses Business Intelligence Systems to understand trends and creates opportunities to increase sales of existing products, increase company assortment across brands. Ability to sell, negotiate upside inventory.
As needed, support customer and product set up in customer/vendor portal in timely manner.
Administers policies that govern pricing, order entry, order change, order status inquiry, and any other policy that relates to the department.
Create customer specific detailed job aides outlining process and procedures. Cross-train back-ups to manage your portfolio effectively.
Compiles and creates reports with metrics and results as required.
Makes recommendations to improve processes and reporting to increase effectiveness of sales team and decision making.
Recommends and drives process/systems improvements and optimizations on a continual basis (e.g., forms; processes; procedures; software utilization).
Other duties and projects as assigned or required.
Excellent communication skills
Experience within the consumer goods/electronics industry
Experience with EDI transactions
Experience supporting large retail customers in similar support role
Experience with JD Edwards ERP system
