A large publicly traded company and on of San Diego’s premier employers is looking to hire a Technical Support Assistant who has experience providing administrative support for construction or engineering projects.
Technical Support Assistant
Dispatching and Analytical responsibilities in the company’s Technical Services organization. This position will work heavily in Excel and SAP- Duties include timekeeping, work management system (SAP-PM) work order creation and reconciling, Operations Crew Dispatching, record filing, scheduling traffic control support and other duties as assigned. Support includes creating, modifying, retiring facility and asset records, creating routine and corrective work orders and supporting the dispatching of work to field crews. Automated data entry validation, and in some cases data entry corrections for critical maintenance and inspection work records. Primary work management system of record is SAP-PM. Assist management in planning and coordinating field work activities by crews. Monitors the status of field work orders for; completion, required follow-up, work scope changes, joint meet requirements, etc. Cross-trains on multiple work section duties.
30% - Creates, monitors, and manages work notifications and work orders in SAP-PM.
35% - Creates, modifies, and retires company facility/asset/equipment records, including setting appropriate maintenance intervals, in the SAP-PM work management system.
10% - When section Supervisor is unavailable the technical support assistant provides first point of contact for technical & support questions and requirements for internal and external organizations.
10% - Supports assigning and dispatching field crews to both scheduled and unplanned (trouble calls, emergencies, etc.) work.
05% - Produce and analyze work management system (SAP-PM) reports (List Edits) to monitor notification and work order status and progress. These reports used by Gas Tech Services and outside organizations.
05% - Manage work order Notifications that are sent or forwarded to organizations outside of Technical Services.
05% - Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties)
