Return to Work Specialist


A large publicly traded company and on of San Diego’s premier employers is looking to hire a Return to Work Specialist who has experience as a workers compensation claims examiner or with reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and return to work process.


Acts as return to work liaison between Employee Care Services (ECS), business lines and employees requiring initiation and ongoing interaction related to the reasonable accommodations process under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ADA Amendment Act (ADAAA) and the State of California Fair Employment Housing Act (FEHA). Provide temporary support to the self-insured and self-administered workers' compensation program, non-occupational program, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), state mandated leaves of absence, other leave acts and company policies to assure compliance with regulations, procedures, policies, industry best practices and Company benefit plans.


Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • A valid drivers license
  • 5-years experience as a California workers’ compensation claims examiner with litigation experience or in reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and return to work process.
