Description:

A dynamic and growing mortgage banker in Lake Forest is seeking a Post Closer Specialist for their expanding Post Closing Team and remote work is an option!

Responsibilities:

  • Clear all conditions received from investors in a timely manner so the loan can be purchased within 20 days.
  • Work between Operations and Investor contacts to ensure loans are purchased in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on requests with a focus on aging loans, using all company resources available, to retrieve copies of missing documentation per investor request. 
  • Responsible for updating LOS (Encompass) with any new and or updated conditions. • Retrieve purchase advice and send to warehouse bank. • Manage and follow-up of personal pipeline to ensure files are processed in a proper and timely manner. • Perform other general post-closing functions as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in post-closing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with employees and investors.
  • Strong attention to detail. Must be detailed oriented as some tasks require precision to keep mistakes at a minimum.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly demanding environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must possess good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective critical thinking, analyzing, and error proofing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions regarding job procedures and workflow processes independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of integrity, adapts well to change, resourceful and a self-starter. 
  • Ability to understand and strictly adhere to state and federal mortgage lending regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
