Data Analyst- PowerBI

A large publicly traded company and on of Los Angeles’ premier employers is looking to hire a Data Analyst to provide advanced data analytics using PowerBI.   

 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to analyze large and different sets of data and recommend the best way to combine and display the data.
  • The ability to create meaningful metrics in a clear and concise manner in a dashboard from various sources of data.
  • Databases and how to databases can be structured for reports, metrics, and dashboard.
  • Gathering reports from various sources (Excel, SharePoint, etc.) and be able to review and combine data to make meaningful metrics.
  • Microsoft SharePoint to maintain site and develop a hierarchy that can be managed. Also Taxonomy in SharePoint.
  • Microsoft PowerBI to create detailed metrics in a dashboard and display on a SharePoint Site and Mobile Device.
  • Microsoft Access to combine data from different sources to develop detailed reports and metrics.
  • Cleaning data and structuring the data to create meaningful metrics in a dashboard.
  • How data should be structured for reporting purposes.
  • Data and databases within various applications.
  • Building reports that are developed manually and convert them to be automated.
  • Review data from multiple sources, structure the data, and create metrics for reporting purposes.
  • Manage and track progress of project deliverables and present them in tabular or graphical format in a clear and concise manner.
  • Multitask and work in a fast changing environment.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast changing environment.
  • Great interpersonal communication.
  • Understanding of Business Process Models.

 

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree

A minimum of two years of experience with data analytics and relational databases

Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel, including charts, tables, and detailed formulas for calculations.

Must have SharePoint experience and be able to navigate as user

A minimum of 1 year of experience using PowerBI
 

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or other discipline that encompasses Data Analytics
