A multi-state residential mortgage banker who offers the financial strength, experienced personnel and passionate commitment in providing mortgage services to their customers, is seeking a Loan Processor to start immediately!
Summary of Duties:
Liaison between Branch Offices and Operations regarding new and previously submitted loans. Responsible for preparation of new loan requests for submission to Underwriting Coordinator.
Register loans on company’s Loan Origination System.
Maintain system accuracy.
Issue timely and compliant loan disclosures.
Assist with preparing and reviewing rate locks.
Assist with ordering loan documents.
Review all documents thoroughly before submission to assure accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance.
Compile all loan conditions, including any post-closing conditions, and review for accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance.
Determine if documents sent will meet the conditions requested prior to submission to the Underwriter.
Act as liaison among all parties, including, but not limited to, consumer, Branch Manager, Loan Officer, Underwriting Coordinator and the entire Operations team.
Retrieve credit report and run FNMA DO/DU. Identify potential issues to discuss with Loan Officer, Management and Underwriting.
Communicate with Loan Officer and consumer as required to facilitate a smooth process.
Prepare loan file, including all supporting documentation, for submission to underwriting department.
Order title reports, appraisals, verifications of employment, and verifications of deposit.
Interact with consumers as required and approved by Loan Officer.
Maintain regular and designated office hours at the direction of the Branch Manager.
Diligently secure and protect consumer information, personal and financial.
Communicate with Loan Officer at each step of the process.
Maintain necessary knowledge to successfully perform job responsibilities

A minimum of two years of recent (within the last 12 months) Loan Processor experience.
Ability to read and interpret mortgage documents, real estate sales contracts, valuation forms and attorney correspondence as well as company and departmental policies and procedures.
Knowledge of documentation required to prepare a complete file for submission to underwriting.
Basic knowledge of programs available and program guidelines for Conventional, FHA, VA and Niche products.
Residential mortgage banking knowledge.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and employees of the company.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to problem solve under a variety of situations and circumstances.
Proficient in Microsoft office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
