A large publicly traded company and on of Los Angeles' premier employers is looking to hire an Engineer (Level 1) to provide support to an internal engineering team that compiles data for engineering compliance and oversight. Responsibilities include:

25% Managing data analysis of multiple assessments projects, making detailed engineering calculations and evaluations on pipeline defects and conditions and evaluations to assist with collecting information from reviewing daily reports relating to well pressure test data and standardizing how this data is entered into the Data management application WellView.


30% - To assist in the Post Job Data Review of Reassessment Jobs done on wells to ensure the data captured by the WSMs and engineers is consistent with data required by the Data Management Quality Assurance Team


15% - To assist in building out Power BI Dashboards


10% - To assist in testing cement calculator for downhole operations


10% - To assist in regulatory data requests as needed


10% - To assist with fluid level calculations as instructed by engineers, team leads and managers and processing of inspection data, developing procedures and processes for accomplishing compliance with assessment regulations, coordinating and managing pipeline field inspections, writing engineering reports, and communications. Working within the framework of the current Integrity Management Plan, Gas Standards, and Form Instructions, work to streamline processes and procedures to meet compliance requirements, integrate/consolidate data acquisition and storage methods. Develop working knowledge of State and Federal regulatory codes, industry standards, and company standards impacting Integrity Management. Support the development of Company projects.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering
  • Experience working with WellView and Power BI Dashboards
  • Downhole experience and understanding of oil and gas wells and regulations (API 1171, Underground Gas Storage Requirements)
  • A valid Drivers License


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Petroleum Engineering
  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
