A growing San Diego based mortgage lender is seeking a Lock Desk Specialist to join their expanding operations. This is a direct hire opportunity!

Position Summary:

The Lock Desk Specialist is highly proficient at creating and maintaining close working relationships with our correspondent investors, hedge adviser, broker dealers, MI companies, and in the future, directly with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They will manage daily mortgage pricing for our Correspondent investors and confirm lock request activity.


  • Manage product and pricing engine (Optimal Blue) to price and lock interest rates.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and updates and distributes Competitor Rate Comparison.
  • Creates, runs, and distributes a variety of reports including daily production, lock pipeline, pull through reports and other ad hoc reports.
  • Manage relationship with hedge advisor
  • Ensure loan level data integrity for secondary marketing system
  • Manage best execution of mandatory loan sales
  • Monitor lock activity and lock extensions as necessary
  • Maintain pricing policy and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Residential Lending Industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of loan pricing, documentation and investor requirement
  • Knowledge of Conventional, FHA and or VA lending guidelines.
  • Experience with Encompass Loan Origination system
  • Experience with Optimal Blue product and pricing engine and secondary systems
  • Strong sense of responsibility for completing work quickly and accurately
  • Uber Excel user
