Project Coordinator - Logistics

A large publicly traded company and on of San Diego’s premier employers is looking to hire Project Coordinator to support logistics efforts in the acquisition of materials and supplies to meet the operational needs of field personnel.


Manage and direct the acquisition of materials and supplies to support the operational needs of the company at ten storeroom locations. Manage inventory to minimize investment while maximizing internal and external customer service levels. Prepare and analyze inventory level forecasting. Review purchase requisition data and determine buying strategy. Manage material expediting with suppliers by discussing requirements with supplier contacts and ensuring internal documents reflect changes. Review and process quality deficiency reports for non-technical storeroom material and follow-up with supplier for root cause and resolution documentation. Support data requests from the Manager of Resource Planning and provided needed analysis within required due date.

  • Assess the potential financial impact of project material & equipment costs to the Company.
  • Review complex problems and propose innovative solutions.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in logistics or inventory.
  • Project management knowledge required with an emphasis on logistics and supply.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Intermediate level user of MS Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s in Finance, Business or related major is desired/preferred.
  • Project management certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills
  • A strong knowledge of SAP and the Microsoft suite of Office software, particularly Excel.
  • Project management skills overseeing construction.
  • Need a person that is flexible and comfortable working in a remote environment.
