Our Irvine based Mortgage Banking client is rapidly growing and seeking a Loan Officer Assistant immediately. This is a direct hire opportunity and remote options are available! Their team is extremely close and a positive culture is key to their business model.

They are looking for a motivated, organized individual who is resourceful, has a problem-solving nature and very attentive to detail. This person will be required to verify qualifications and communicate concerns. This person MUST have loan qualification experience and be VERY strong in loan qualification guidelines and terms. The Loan Officer will NOT be reviewing your qualification ability. This is something the person in this role will be expected to be knowledgeable of from hire date. Organization and qualification knowledge is key for this specific position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing mortgage loan application and documentation, which may include phone and computer work, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, overnighting documents,
  • Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver them to the
  • Create rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages and deliver them to the
  • Review documents and entire loan files and work to prevent problems by highlighting deficiencies and then notifying the mortgage loan officer and/or loan
  • Clarify/correct information and obtain additional information, as necessary, via phone, email,
  • General clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors, as
  • Work with management to provide support in various stages and areas of lending and processing as
  • Assist in managing a pipeline consisting of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, along with 203K and reverse mortgage
  • Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to the borrower and retrieve proof of receipt.
  • Track outstanding items on all loan files and follow up with customers to ensure timely receipt of necessary

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of prior experience reviewing mortgage loan applications 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience using Encompass
  • LO License –NMLS
  • Bilingual Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school degree 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills \
