Sr. Loan Processor

A growing San Diego based mortgage lender is seeking a Sr. Loan Processor to join their expanding operations. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity and 100% remote work is an option!


  • Review loan files and determine what documentation is required to meet investor guidelines.
  • Communicate and respond to internal customers (Loan Consultants, Processing Managers) and external customers (borrowers, 3rd party vendors) generally within 2 hours.
  • Utilize pipeline reports to effectively manage loans and prioritize daily workflow
  • Be proficient with document management system and demonstrates exceptional data integrity where all information in system is accurate
  • Be proficient at reading income, asset, credit documents.
  • Consult with Loan Processing Manager weekly on loan status and prioritizes workflow accordingly.
  • Maintain current knowledge of guidelines and loan programs.
  • Request, organize and process loan documentation and independently submit files to Underwriting monthly.
  • Have excellent communication skills with internal and external clients
  • Be able to navigate and work through an LOS system as well as other internal systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in loan processing
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FHA/VA and Conventional product experience
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions and familiarity with Loan Origination Systems
  • Experience with Encompass is 
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Strong communication skills
